Exhaust

Made soms new exhausts pfff i hope my welds are okay....?!?!?!

This morning I looked at a dutch chopper magazine. some pages reflected a dutch chopper show held this year, the bikes that are build these days...pfff set a side the 'what kind of style' somebody likes, but back in the days craftsmanship, detail, creativity etc. were at a high level. you can see the blood, sweet and tears the builder has put into this 45. amazing, this bike has a soul!!!! I think current bike builds miss this 'soul'.

Too many people use too many expensive parts and not looking at the total design / vibe of the bike.
The cool thing about the old bikes is that i'm learning new stuff each day. from technical to parts stuff. I just received this early edition of the jammer's handbook, the cool factor is HIGH! not only the parts, but also the david mann drawings and technical information. because this information it feels like i'm getting more and more in love with the bikes, parts i have and try to build. also with the people I meet at meetings, swapmeets etc. the atmosphere is always friendly and great fun! these people are greatly involved with the stuff they have and build, I think PASSION is the right word!

Parts road trip

Travelled yesterday throughout THE country for soms Parts. Will post pics of THE Parts later. On my way visited mr. Zz Chop. Thanks de hospitality buddy!!!!all THE cool Parts And projects!!! cant wait for THE deraked frame! THE fxr was looking fine!

It feels like an addiction. Every week i buy Parts /Books etc. Haha my girlfriend thinks i'm crazy buying all That OLd stuff....

i will probaly forget the long exhaust... had this picture in mind but is not going to happen... last Saturday we only needed to do exhaust...but time was up and also the welding gas... maybe faith telling me not to mount the exhausts....

my buddy Rick helped me out with some welding! sissybar, seat, fender, gastank, taillight bracket, several little stuff! Thanks a lot bud!
only thing left are the exhaust pipes!! i'm HaPPy!

Into the wild

last couple of weeks, had some other stuff on my mind than motorcycles. from January 2012 will have a new job, this change will encounter some new challenges not only work related... so different stuff is going through my mind. from the current situation at my job till private stuff. i'm not always sure if I make the right choices, sometimes it is difficult to deal with the uncertainties. On the other hand, it feels good to explore unknown territory. hopefully next year will bring some good stuff!
I will not start about the current society / TV which all revolves around the outside of people / money / things....

have some old mag's...will try to make some scans. this bike is perfect. love those bikes from back in the days. they have an atmosphere which I can't describe exactly....but it all matches together. all parts found their place on the bike.
